Meet the Team...
The Llandudno YFC Trustees make up the group of people responsible for the overall management and decision making for Llandudno Youth for Christ. They are responsible for the direction and performance of the charity and provide management and monitoring of staff and project activities.
They all give their time voluntarily and several of the team are also involved in some of our projects, as well as serving in their own churches and communities.
Llandudno YFC is extremely blessed to have such a great team of trustees but would still value further help on the secretarial and finance side. If you would like to help in these areas, or know someone who might, then please do get in touch.
Hi, I’m Jim Mason and I’ve been involved on the Exec since the project started, following on from Peter Marshall as chairperson.
I’m based at Gloddaeth United Church with my wife and daughters. As well being on the Exec, I currently help out when needed at Reverb on Wednesdays, but enjoy being involved in all aspects of the work. I’m really excited by the huge potential in the Llandudno YFC project to enable young people to find an alternative way of life and that fullness of life that Jesus offers.
Outside of YFC, my day job is a vet and to relax I enjoy tramping the hills with our dog Toby.
Hi, I’m Neil Kirkham, married to Pam, with three adult children. I’m currently employed as the Minister of Gloddaeth United Church (since 1992) but was previously a Civil Engineer.
In my spare time I love walking and all forms of sport, mainly as a spectator now!
I’ve been involved in the local YFC since its inception and would love to see the young people of Llandudno realise their God-given potential.
I'm Chris Spree and I've been part of Llandudno YFC since 2009.
I’m married to Jenny and we have two daughters. We are all part of Emmanuel Church.
Why am I involved? Because I want to be a part of something which itself is high on quality and which meets a very real need for very real people.
Hi, I'm Nigel Whitaker, married to Marian for 25 years. We met on the river Amazon 30 years ago. We are part of Emmanuel church. We have three kids, a dog and a rabbit.
I've been on the exec since the start. My vision for Llandudno YFC is to be a bridge between the church and the un-churched youth of the town.
Hi, I’m Chris. I have enjoyed living in sunny Llandudno for 4+ years with my wife Sue, Rosie (now in Sheffield) and Tim (at Llandrillo College + loves Reverb's hotdogs!)
We go to Gloddaeth United Church where Sue plays the keyboard/organ and I help run Quest (Sunday School), Going Deeper (a bit more challenging Bible Study for local teenagers) and a Home Group (for adults)
I have supported Reverb and YFC in Llandudno from the start and I am Gaffer of the Reverb Maintenance Team.
I love sailing and have run the Walrus Cruise (a Christian charity which organises sailing holidays for teenagers) for 20 years. My claim to fame is that I’ve raced across the Atlantic!
The Trustees
Hi folks, I’m Tim Gough and since May 2011 I’ve been the Youth & Schools Worker / Centre Director for Llandudno Youth for Christ.
Along with the Trustees, I’m responsible for planning and running the projects and working with young people directly. I’m so excited by the massive potential of the ministry here in Llandudno and cannot wait to see what God might to with it.
When I’m not hanging out with teenagers I love spending time with my wife Katie, rock climbing, camping, Blackpool fc, hammocks, and Ben & Jerry's Ice Cream (generally in that order).
Youth & School’s Worker
Tim believes his main responsibility is to serve the local young people, churches, and schools. If you would like to arrange a chat with Tim or invite him to speak at your church, event, or youth group contact him at
