In the Narnia film ‘The Lion, The Witch, and The Wardrobe’ there is a magical moment when Mr. Beaver turns to his dinner guests and whispers ‘Aslan is on the move.’ Everyone takes a slow breath and the steady violin starts to play. In that moment you feel something rich and powerful. You want Aslan to keep moving, you want to meet Aslan, you want to love Aslan, you want to bring Aslan a cup of tea and feed him grapes - but you don’t even know who Aslan is! That is the feeling I’m getting in North Wales, Jesus is on the move! You can feel His presence when you walk the streets, meet the teenagers, and visit the churches. You can see His footsteps in the legacy of the Christians you meet and most importantly, you can see the seeds He is planting in young lives, even though they haven’t met Him yet! Jesus is on the move.

Youth for Christ in Llandudno is a work of God, no question about it. Everywhere I look this work bears the fingerprints of the Almighty. The Reverb centre, all the people involved, and all the open doors and opportunities are obvious signs of His provision. I’m humbled that He’s called me to be a part of it.

There have been so many highlights: Running Reverb and seeing dozens of teenagers come each week and bring friends, working closely with schools (particularly Ysgol John Bright and St. David’s college), helping with Reconnect, visiting churches, meeting great people - the list goes on.

There have been challenges too. LLYFC is definitely a hand-to-mouth ministry. We are constantly in need of more help, volunteers, and donations. It may be that as you read this God is laying on your heart how you could get involved. I urge you to prayerfully consider this nudge from God.

For now I guess I’ll just say that God is good, this ministry is His, and I look forward to seeing how God develops Llandudno Youth for Christ for His Glory.

August Reconnect promises to be another great night!

Worship is being led by the Reconnect band, but we've pinched a few member of the amazing Kinetic Plus band who led last month!!

Our Guest speaker is the Amazing Rachel Gardner.

Many of you might recognize Rachel as the face of BBC’s, No Sex Please, We’re Teenagers, programme, which aired in 2005 and the author of best-selling book for girls, Cherished.

Others, as the ubiquitous face of Harrow, North West London, where she can often be found shopping, drinking coffee and chatting to strangers (including animals, like in a Disney film) whilst writing profound insights on teenage sexuality.

However, the small majority of you, will have no idea who she is. For those unfortunate few:
We introduce the vivacious Rachel Gardner, director of Romance Academy by day, lover of period -dramas and husband, Jason, by night.

For more information about Rachel's day job have a look at http://www.romanceacademy. org/
Alo folk. My name is Tim Gough, I’m a follower of Jesus and married to a wonderful lady from California called Katie. That’s the most important stuff!
I’ve spent the last 7 years in London, and the last 3 n’ a bit leading the Youth & Children’s work in a large Anglican church. It’s been an amazing journey and I’ve stacked up some great stories and memories along the way!
I’m a big fan of the outdoors & love camping – the wilder and crazier the better! I’m also into rock climbing, good food, unsigned music, cosy chairs, big hammocks, Blackpool FC, and Ben & Jerry’s ice cream. Not necessarily all at the same time.
Katie, my wife, is a writer and a poet. She has the longest hair in the world, ever, and she makes a mean hamburger! Katie grew up in the Santa Cruz Mountains so also loves the outdoors. She would love to write full time but will be looking for a part time job in Llandudno where she can meet lots of people. Any ideas?
We’re both really looking forward to our move to Llandudno, and we’re excited about getting stuck in for Jesus. We’re both passionate for the lost, and long to see every teenager in the world come to know God. Wouldn’t that be fab? Oh. I also really like the word ‘fab.’
Look forward to meeting you all!
